We have had a very busy time in the office in the last few weeks with many new registrations to process. We will open our doors to greet 625 students and over 60 staff members this week! There is a great energy in the school and we look forward to the coming weeks as we all settle in for the school year. Within the first few weeks of school, we need to keep in mind that student placements and teacher assignments can change if we need to reorganize. This is based on our registration numbers, class size requirements and staffing. For further information regarding Primary class size click here and for further information regarding reorganizations click here. If there are any changes with classes, we will communicate information and transition plans with those families that are affected as soon as we can. We ask that you keep this in mind when discussing class placements with your children. Class building, staffing, and reorganizations are the responsibility of schools. We understand that students and parents have preferences. However, this cannot be a consultative process and we do not make changes based on input and feedback from families at this time. We appreciate your cooperation and assistance in helping make any necessary transitions should we be required to reorganize. Building resilience in our young people is very important. Changes that come with a new school year are the perfect opportunity for us as adults to help them develop this skill. Maintaining a positive and optimistic outlook as adults always helps students as they adapt to change.
